Tuesday, December 13th, 2011Approximately 1 year ago, we were visited by a Food Network TV crew and celebrity comedian, singer, and actor John Catucci.
We were told little to when the new show named “You Gotta Eat Here” would showcase your favourite Argo Cafe as well as many other restaurants in Vancouver, Victoria, and all over Canada to national TV.
Sometime in June….the Food Network posted a preview/blog post of the new show. There are a few cut-scenes from our restaurant.
Check-out their preview video & get ready to tune your TV and PVR to the Food Network.
Our unofficial premiere date is on:
Friday, February 3rd, 2012 @ 9:00 pm pacific time
Update (Wed Feb 1st) : The official You Gotta Eat Here website has is slated at 1:00pm PST & 6:00pm PST

Latest TV Update – Food Network “You Gotta Eat Here”
Saturday, December 11th, 2010This is your chance to make it on TV at your favourite local diner, the Argo Cafe!
Lone Eagle Entertainment is the producing a new Food Network Canada show called “You Gotta Eat Here” which will be hosted by Canadian comedian, singer and actor John Catucci. Click here for some more information.
UPDATED: The crew will be on-location from 11am – 3pm on Tuesday, December 14th and Wednesday, December 15th. Argo’s hours will be 7am – 3pm during these days.
John will be in and out of the kitchen learning how Chef Denis Larouche and the rest of the Argo staff whip up the fine meals we serve here. He will also interview you, our loyal patrons, to find out why you enjoy coming to our restaurant.
Come down and show your support and get on TV all over North America!

The Food Network will shoot on BOTH December 14th and December 15th, 2010.
The name of the show that the Food Network is shooting for is also called “You Gotta Eat Here”.
